Art Vase | A freehand-shaped vessel that plays with perspective—appearing flat and round from the front, yet slim as a line from the side.

The wooden element adds a sculptural quality, enhancing its presence as both object and artwork.

TIDE VASE

BLUSH VESSEL

Dual Colour

Artisan creating a dual-color glass bubble for Utopia & Utility's Art Vessels.

Bubble making

Dual Colour

Making a two coloured bubble requires the heating and connecting of two colour bars.

This process is laborious, and can have unexpected results. The colours in glass are made up of oxides, and when these meet they can react with one another.

Shaping

SHAPING

The Art Vases are all oval in shape.
To achieve this, the hot glass bubble needs to be flattened while hot, giving each piece its own organic shape.
