Paper Pebbles
handrolled & Processed paper, germany
No two pieces are alike. Created by rolling and gluing sheets of paper, then expertly crafted in the wood workshop, Processed Paper reveals the natural beauty of each layered detail. This innovative material was developed by Pia Wüstenberg during her studies at the Royal College of Art, London, and is now applied across a range of furniture, lighting, and sculptural objects.
Among our distinctive offerings is the Paper Pebbles collection—unique, tactile pieces that challenge traditional material perceptions. Each pebble, shaped like a smooth rock, rests atop a concrete pillow in vibrant colours, cleverly reversing expected material roles to create a striking contrast between delicate paper and solid stone.

Processed Paper
Sheets of paper are rolled with glue to make a solid paper roll.
This is a laborious process done by hand and with great care.
Processing
The resulting rolls can be cut on a lathe or sanded on a sanding disc. The material is similar to wood.
patterns
Each layer that is revealed creates a line. On printed paper there are two lines, the line of the paper and the line of the print - the results are always unpredictable.
